Project Name For internal use. It should be something that quickly and easily identifies the project (especially helpful if you have more than one project in the works).

The launch date may be pushed back due to delays in appending your Sender ID or submitting information to MTD.
Suppression List The email addresses of all recipients who've previously indicated they do not wish to receive email from your company. This can be uploaded to your Teamwork page as a plain text file, Comma Separated Value (.csv), or Excel Spreadsheet (.xls).

If an address in your suppression list appears in MTD's data, that address will be "suppressed" — your email will not be sent to them. This is in compliance with current CAN-SPAM rules.

Other lists may be used for suppression in addition to your opt-outs. For example, you may wish to screen out your house list of current customers for an upcoming prospecting email.
Seed List The email addresses of all persons in your organization who are to receive a copy of the mailing when it's launched (optional).
Test List Email addresses of everyone on the project who should receive tests of the email for approval. MTD sends up to three live tests at no extra charge, giving you a chance to see how the email will display for your recipients, and to refine or correct the message.
Subject Line The subject line of the email. This is perhaps the most important element of your template! Most people will decide whether to open or delete your email based on the subject line.
From Name The name displayed in the "From" field of email programs (e.g., Jim Smith, ABC Music).
From/Reply To Address The email address displayed in the "From" field of email programs (e.g., jimsmith@abcmusic.com).

The From and Reply To addresses may be different, but they must have the same domain.

Example:   From         jimsmith@abcmusic.com
Reply To   catalog-request@abcmusic.com

Share-to-Social Option Would you like links in your message which will allow recipients to share it on their favorite social network?

Personalization Examples of personalization:
  • "Dear Jim..." (first name)
  • "Your marching band can now..." (ensemble type)
  • "The choir of Liberty High School is invited..." (ensemble type + school name)
Personalization may utilize any field, and fields may be combined.
(first name + school name + city, etc.)

Please submit the default value in addition to the personalization field!
For example: Dear [FirstName] (default=Choir Director).
Dynamic Content Special content, colors or graphics which are different in each email received based on data in each recipients' record.

For example, an announcement can be sent to all band and orchestra directors, however orchestra directors will receive an email with a banner graphic pertaining to strings, and band directors will receive a graphic pertaining to brass.

Sections of the copy (wording) can also be dynamic. Many possibilities are available.
Links If you have graphics which function as links, please list each graphic and its target link. Also list any text links if the text and link are not the same (e.g., "for more information, click here" links to "http://abcmusic.com/information.html")
Company Information CAN-SPAM rules require that this information appear somewhere in your message. If it does not appear in the main body of your message, we'll insert it at the bottom under the Opt-in/Opt-out links.
